Who is responsible

This website is operated by Ali Baichibaev, based in Serbia. I am responsible for the personal data I process through this site. For privacy questions or requests, email ali@baichibaev.com.

Running the website

Cloudflare provides hosting and delivery. Serving a page involves processing technical request information such as your IP address, the requested address, request time and browser headers. This information is used to deliver the website, maintain security and investigate faults or abuse. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in running a reliable and secure website.

Basic page counts

I count successful public page loads to understand which pages are read, independently of Google Analytics. The counter stores only the UTC day, page path and total number of loads. It does not store individual visits, exact visit times, IP addresses, browser details, referring sites, consent choices or visitor identifiers. It sets no cookies and does not send the counts to Google. It cannot identify unique people or connect visits across pages. Requests are processed to produce these totals based on the legitimate interest in understanding readership with minimal data.

The counter keeps a rolling 90-day window. Older totals are removed when a new day or page is recorded. Refreshes and automated requests may be included, so totals are not a precise count of human readers.

Optional Google Analytics

With your consent, I use Google Analytics 4 to understand readership and improve the site. Google’s analytics script does not load before you accept analytics. Refusing it does not restrict access to the site, and no analytics requests are sent to Google after refusal. The legal basis for this optional processing is your consent.

Analytics can include page views, page titles, referring website domains, visit and engagement information, browser and device details, approximate location, and cookie identifiers that distinguish browser visits. Google receives your IP address as part of the connection; analytics data should not be regarded as fully anonymous.

The site’s integration disables Google advertising signals and advertising personalisation. It does not send an account ID, email address or form contents. Page query strings and fragments are excluded from the page-view data sent by this integration. The private administration area does not load analytics.

Your choice and cookies

You can accept or reject analytics in the banner. Use Privacy settings at the bottom of any public page to change your choice. Withdrawing consent stops future collection and removes the analytics cookies accessible to this site. It does not undo lawful processing before withdrawal or automatically delete data already collected; contact me about deletion.

Your choice applies to this browser. Clearing site storage or using another browser may cause the banner to appear again. Your browser may also store your light or dark appearance preference locally; it is not sent as analytics data.

If you contact me

If you email me, I receive your email address and the information you choose to send. I use it to respond and deal with your request, based on my legitimate interest in handling correspondence, or a legal obligation when dealing with a statutory rights request.

Retention

The retention period for detailed analytics event and user data is two months. Aggregated reports may be kept longer to compare readership over time. Browser cookie lifetimes are listed above and are separate from retention in Google Analytics.

Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to answer your request, manage related follow-up or meet applicable legal requirements. Technical information is retained only as needed for delivery, troubleshooting and security, subject to the hosting provider’s retention rules.

Providers and international processing

Cloudflare and, if you accept analytics, Google process data as service providers. They may process information outside Serbia, including in the United States and the European Economic Area. Applicable international transfer requirements and provider contractual safeguards must be taken into account. You can contact me for information about the safeguards relevant to your data. I do not sell your personal data.

Your rights

Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent. Email ali@baichibaev.com to make a request. I may need limited information to verify that the request concerns your data.

You may complain to Serbia’s Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, or to another competent supervisory authority where applicable. This notice takes account of Serbian data protection law and the GDPR where it applies.

Other websites and updates

Links lead to websites with their own privacy practices. If an article contains an externally hosted image or other media, your browser may connect to that provider when it loads. I will update this notice when the site’s data practices change and request fresh consent where needed.
